This years theme is the Seven Liberal Arts.

These are the classical subjects that any self respecting gentleman should have studied, (according to the Romans and the Ancient Geeks anyway.)

It is pure Pythagoras, as it has at it's core the subjects taught by him. Mathematics - Pure number. Geometry - Number in space. Music - Number in time. Astronomy - Number in space and time. The other three are Logic, Rhetoric and Grammar. Each subject will be represented by a school master- who is in turn painted in the style of an Old Dutch Master. A tall order perhaps, but an excellent chance to practice painting and learn from the Old School.
